Actions Icon - Overview

 

PPM provides multiple ways for you to perform actions on application items. Many applications include Actions icons that give you quick access to item-specific actions. Others, like the workspace-level Task List and dynamic application Item List views provide context-sensitive options without the Actions icon.

The Actions Icon

The Actions icon provides context-sensitive commands specific to individual items. In many PPM views, item names are followed by the Actions icon. Click the icon to open a menu, then select a command.

The actions listed are determined by your user permissions and the specific item you are working with. For instance, the actions for an issue might include an option to Update the issue, while the actions for a document would not.

 

Note: Some Actions menu commands may be duplicated in the Checked Item Actions menu of the View Toolbar. The Checked Item Actions menu gives you the ability to perform the actions on multiple items at the same time. For details, see Using the Checked Item Actions List.
