Assigning Resources to Tasks - Overview

Tasks are the building blocks with which a project manager organizes work. A project manager usually assigns resources to tasks, taking into account the availability of the resources. Managing this is a large part of a project manager's job.

Tasks are usually completed with resources:

Human resources—Human resources are team members, the enterprise users who have been added to the workspace as team members. Some team members may be external resources.
