Assigning Resources to Tasks - Overview
|
Tasks are the building blocks with which a project
manager organizes work. A project manager usually assigns resources
to tasks, taking into account the availability of the resources. Managing
this is a large part of a project manager's job.
Tasks are usually completed with resources:
- Human
resources—Human
resources are team members, the enterprise users who have been added
to the workspace as team members. Some team members may be external resources.
You can assign multiple team members to a task. You can also assign multiple
tasks to one team member. For details about assigning team members to
a task, see Assigning Tasks Overview.
