Entering Edit Mode
Note: Editable fields are automatically put into edit mode when using the or panes.

- Select a cell (tab to it or click it with the mouse) and press Enter
- Double-click on a cell
The date cell is put into edit mode and a Calendar popup opens.
Notes:
- Default date:
- If there is a value in the cell, the date is selected.
- If there is no date in the cell, today's date is selected.
- Default time:
- If there is a time value, that time is pre-filled in the Time box.
- If there is no time value, the Time defaults to 12:00 AM.

- If there is no date in cell, calendar opens with today's date highlighted.
Editable date cell remains empty until you click on a date, type a date, or press Enter. Enter puts that date into the cell. A second Enter commits the value.
- If there is a date in the cell, calendar opens with that date selected and highlighted in the cell. Enter saves the date.
- Click a date to select and commit it.

Entering a Time . |
- Type a time in the cell (a space must separate the date and time).
- Paste a valid time in the cell.
- Type a time in the Time box of the calendar popup.

Removing a Date or Date/Time
|
- (in edit mode) press the Delete or Backspace key
Note: See Input Validation below for validation details on a required field after deleting data.

Saving a Change
Notes:
- In the List, values in fields are saved when you leave the cell.
- In the or pane, values in fields are saved on Save.

- Enter, Tab, Shift+Tab
- Selects option, closes list and commits change (single-select list)
- Selects or deselects highlighted option, closes list, leaving cell in edit-mode. Second keystroke commits change (multi-select list)
- Click another cell in the list

Canceling a Change
|
- Esc cancels any change that has not been committed
Note: Canceling does not invoke required field validation.
- Esc with no field values changed closes the Add or Update pane.

Input Validation
|
- Leaving a blank required field untouched (unedited) does not trigger required field validation.
- Deleting an existing value in a required field generates a validation error when moving out of the field.
- Entering an invalid value in a field (required or not) generates a validation error when moving out of the field.
