Resource Utilization by Resource in Timesheets

 

The Resource Utilization window in Timesheets, displays utilization information about the owner of the current timesheet.

The view includes total hours allocated for those workspaces that are included on the timesheet, the hours scheduled for the user in each workspace, and the actual hours worked by the user. The view displays a utilization for a period of time beginning prior to the start date of the timesheet and extending beyond the last date on the timesheet.

Opening the Resource Utilization Window

Open the Resource Utilization window by clicking View Resource Utilization in the timesheet toolbar.

 

Using the Resource Utilization Window

The time range for the display defaults to showing data from one month prior to the current date through one month beyond the current date. Click a date field to open a calendar and select a different start or end date.

Use the Show time by list to change the display between a monthly view and a weekly view. The weekly view uses the first day of the work week as defined in the PPM work week settings. The Show time by setting you select remains in effect until you change it.

Note: Time is shown in either hours or FTE, depending on how your PPM enterprise is configured. Your administrator sets this value. For more information about FTE, see FTE definition.

Over/Under Allocation Indicator

An arrow icon next to the Scheduled Time row for a resource indicates if the resource is over- or under-allocated.

Summary

A summary section at the bottom of the window has totals for all listed workspaces for Nonworking Time,any applicable personal nonworking time, plus any global nonworking time if it does not also appear on the default calendar., Capacity(workweek hours - (workweek exceptions + calendar exceptions), Total AllocatedTotal of all allocated Project and non-Project hours., Total ScheduledTotal of all scheduled Project and non-Project hours., Total ActualTotal of all Project and non-Project actual hours., Allocated Utilization((total allocated) / capacity), Scheduled Utilization((total scheduled) / capacity), and Actual Utilization((total actual hours) / capacity):
