Every Changepoint PPM enterprise is governed by a license key
which sets a limit on the number of PPM users, the reporting features
you have access to, and total storage volume. This key is created by Changepoint
and used to configure an enterprise. The key can be upgraded to add users,
reporting licenses, and storage volume. For information on upgrading your
current license, contact your Customer Success representative or Changepoint Support.
Keep these facts in mind regarding users and the number of
licenses.
- Each regular
PPM user, regardless of role, occupies a license. Adding a user occupies
another license, while removing a user frees that license. When a user
is removed, they can no longer access PPM, but any information they created
within PPM remains.
- An external
resource does not occupy a license, but external resources cannot log
in to PPM.
TO view PPM LICENSE INFORMATION:
On the Administration Home
page, under Enterprise
Settings click License Information. Current license information is displayed:
- Licensing
Model—The only licensing model currently available
is seat-based.
- Licenses Used—The
Licenses Used field displays the
number of licenses currently occupied by PPM users, the total number of
licensed seats, and the percentage of available licenses being used.
For example: an installation with 75 licenses and 50 users would be
displayed as 50 of 75 (66%).
- Expiration
Date—The date on which
your PPM license expires.
- Query Studio
Authors—The number
of Query Studio author licenses available to you. A Query Studio author license gives
a user access to Query Studio in PPM Reports.
To assign a Query Studio author license to a user, edit the user details.

- Report Studio Authors—The number of Report Studio Author licenses available to you. A
Report Studio Author license gives a user access to Report Studio
in PPM Reports.
