PPM Administrators with the can add portfolio tabs in their enterprise. Once added, a portfolio tab becomes visible to all users in the enterprise. To hide the tab from users of a specific enterprise role, edit the enterprise role and clear the option for the new tab.
Note: The workspaces they see on the tab depend on their membership to individual workspaces or their permission to view the workspaces. If a user does not have permission to view any of the workspaces associated with a portfolio tab, the tab will be empty for that user.
To create a portfolio Tab:
- In the Administrative Zone, under Portfolio Tabs, click Portfolio Tab List.
- In the Portfolio Tab List View, double-click in the empty Name field to put the field into edit mode and type the name of the portfolio tab. The Name is the only field you must add in order to create a portfolio tab, but unless you also associate at least one workspace type with the tab, the tab will be empty for all users.
- Tab to or click in the Description field, press Enter, and type a description for the portfolio tab.
- Tab to or click in the Workspace Types field, press Enter, then click the down arrow to see a list of the available workspace types you can assign to the portfolio tab.
Any workspace type(s) you select defines the behavior of the portfolio tab. Workspaces of the selected type(s) are displayed at the top level in the tab, and any child workspaces are displayed in the portfolio tab hierarchy view, whether or not they are of an associated workspace type.
