Administrators can set requirements for a number of aspects of a user's password.
Challenge questions give users the ability to reset their own passwords from the PPM Login page.
To allow users to reset their own passwords, the administrator has to enable challenge questions for the enterprise, and then each user must configure their own security question(s) in their User Settings.
Challenge Questions
- Enable—Enables the Challenge Questions feature and allows you to specify requirements.
- Number of Questions— The number
of security questions the user must answer in order to reset their password.
Options range from 1 to 3 questions. The value you select is the number
of questions a user will be asked during the password reset process.
- Notifications— If selected,
notifications are sent to all PPM administrators when a user resets their password. All administrators with the Users permission receive notifications in PPM and as email.
Note: Users always receive notification when their password has been reset.
