Read-Only
Fields that you cannot edit blink when you attempt to put them into edit mode.
A field (or an entire record) may not allow editing if you do not have permission to edit the item, or if it contains a value derived from other items.
For example:
- A parent task's Planned Start and Planned Finish are determined by the Planned Start and Planned Finish of its child tasks.
- Dynamic application items may be read-only for one user but editable for another, depending on specific permissions and the users' relationship to the item (by default, the creator of an item can also edit it).
