Unplanned workspaces are workspaces you feel still require additional consideration before their preparation is complete. You can use custom views to filter unplanned workspaces out of Capacity Planner views and out of Net Availability calculations.
The Planned/Unplanned determination is specific to your organization and your workflow. For some, setting all the high priority workspaces to Planned and all others to Unplanned allows them to identify which workspaces can be started beyond the highest priority (must-do) ones. For other organizations the determination has more to do with how far along in planning a workspace is.
Note: Changing a workspace to or from Unplanned/Planned changes the value of the Capacity profile field.
