About Archiving Workspaces

Users with the workspace-level Can Administer Settings permission (project managers by default) can deactivate a workspace by archiving it. You might want to archive a workspace if it is no longer active but it still contains information users may want or need to access.

You can archive workspaces in several ways:

Impact of Archiving a Workspace

Archiving a workspace impacts the workspace and its data. See Impact of Archiving a Workspace (opens in popup) for more information.

Viewing Archived Workspaces

Once a workspace has been archived, it does not show up in the default view on the Projects tab. To view archived workspaces, you must switch to the Archived View.

Archived Workspaces and Reports

By default PPM Reports include data from all workspaces. To restrict data to only active workspaces, use the Active Workspaces filter. For more information, see Filtering in Reports.

Reactivating (Restoring) Archived Workspaces

Archived workspaces must be restored by PPM administrators. For more information, see Restoring an Archived Workspace.
