Global Applications - Overview

 

Global applications are cross-workspace applications you access from the Global tabs. Each tab opens a global application, and each application shows you the items (like issues, tasks, and documents) that are assigned to you, for all the workspaces you are a member of. When you click on a specific item, the Item Details window opens, allowing you to view item details, and to update, edit, or delete the item.

For example, the global Tasks application displays a list of all tasks assigned to you, but without any dependencies between tasks. If you are a member of multiple workspaces, tasks from all your workspaces display.

The global applications (and the global tabs) that are available to you depend on your enterprise role and the permissions given you by your Changepoint PPM administrator.

Note: There are specialized global applications that do not display lists of items. These special applications include the Dashboard, the Executive Tab, and the Calendar. For details about these special global applications, see the Related Topics links.
