Note: This option may not be available to you, depending on your PPM role and permissions. If you do not have the ability to add a new user in PPM, or to add an existing user to a project, you will not be able to add a new PPM user from ProjectTransit.
You may have resources in your Unmapped Project Resources list which do not exist yet in your Unmapped PPM Members list. In such cases, you will need to add the new resource (member) to your PPM Project before you can map the resource to your Microsoft Project file. To do this, click Add New Member below the Unmapped Daptiv PPM Members list. This opens a new window where you can add or create a new PPM resource.
If the person to be added is not already a user in your PPM enterprise, you need to add them to PPM before you can add them to your workspace. To do so, type their First Name, Last Name, email address and PPM role, then click Create New. This creates them as a user in PPM. Next, select the user by checking the box beside their name, choose their workspace role, and click OK to add them to the synchronized workspace. Their name will show up in the Unmapped PPM Members list when you close the Add New Member window. After adding the new member, you can use the Add & Map Resource button to copy them to your Unmapped Project Resources list and map them.
If the person you want to add to your Microsoft Project file already exists as a user in your PPM enterprise, you only need to add that person to your PPM Project. To do this, browse through the list of PPM users in the Add New Member window, and select the user(s) you want to add to the Project. When you are finished, click Ok. The user(s) are included in the Unmapped Daptiv PPM Members list.
When you add a new member to your PPM Project, you can use the list to set which workspace role the new members will have. The default role is team member because ProjectTransit assumes you want to add more resources.
When you are finished, click Ok to close the window.
