Updating Status from a Workspace

 

Project managers can update the status of their workspace from within the workspace.

Note: There are a number of other ways to update workspace status. See Updating Workspace Status.

TO Update Status from a workspace:

  1. In the workspace, on the upper right, click Update Status.

    The Update Status window opens. The fields you see depend on those configured as visible for workspaces of the type you are updating. PPM administrators can hide native workspace fields by workspace type. If fields were hidden for your workspace type, they will not appear in the Update Status window.

    Fields on the left side of the window are calculated (derived) and will always show the most current values.

    Note: The Planned Labor Cost and Planned Labor Revenue fields are calculated whenever the task schedule is updated or billing rates are changed. The Update Status window will always display the results of the last completed calculation. If a change causes a recalculation, the results will not be reflected in the Update Status window until the calculations are complete.
