Reporting on Portfolio Tabs

Note: This topic assumes you are a report author (have a report author license) and know how to create basic reports and filters in PPM Reporting. For more information about PPM Reports, see Reports Overview.

Information about portfolio tabs is listed in the Project Information folder of the PPM Data Model. Using the data items in the Portfolios group, you can report in a couple of different ways on portfolio tabs in PPM.

To Report on Portfolios with which a Workspace is associated:

  1. In the Projects data subject (within the Project Information data folder), select Project Name.
  2. In the Portfolio data subject (within the Project Information data folder), select Portfolio Name.

The report lists each workspace (project) and the portfolio tab(s) it is associated with:

You can select Project Name and group to further condense the results.

Note: If there are no portfolio tabs configured in your enterprise, a "No Data Available" message displays.

You may also want to see which workspaces can also report on which workspaces are associated with a particular portfolio tab by creating a filter.

To Report on Workspaces in portfolios:

  1. In the Portfolio data subject (within the Project Information data folder), select Portfolio Name.
  2. In the Projects data subject (within the Project Information data folder), select Project Name.
  3. Click the Portfolio Name header to select that column.
  4. Click the filter icon to create a filter.
  5. In the Condition section, select Show only the following and select a portfolio tab for which you are filtering.
  6. Click OK.

The report is filtered to show all those workspaces associated with the portfolio you selected in the filter.
Select Portfolio Name and click the Group icon to group by the portfolio:

Note: If there are no portfolio tabs configured in your enterprise, a "No Data Available" message displays.
