Assigning Billing Rates

Administrators can assign internal and external billing rates at the Resource Type level or at the Resource (user or external resource) level.

Resource Type—Assign rates to a resource type when you create the resource type or edit it. For more information, see Creating Resource Types.
Resource—Assign rates to a user or external resource when you create or edit the user or external resource. For more information, see Adding Enterprise Users, and Creating External Resources.

Current rates are displayed with the details of the resource type, user, or external resource. When you edit these details you can assign a new rate or update a rate. Do this by either manually typing a value for the rate or by using the Billing Rate Selector to choose a predefined rate.

Billing rates are inherited if not assigned. For information about how billing rate inheritance works, see Billing Rate Inheritance Overview.
