PPM administrators can use the Checked
Item Action list on the Billing Rates page to edit billing rates
in bulk. By selecting all the rates you want to change, you can quickly
update rates without editing each rate separately. Using the Checked
Item Action list you can change the rate category and the rate
status.
For information on editing other properties of billing rates,
see Editing Billing Rates.
The Checked Item Action
list is the only way to change a rate status from Active
to Inactive.
To bulk-edit billing rates:
- On the Administrative Home
page, under Resources, click Billing
Rates.
The Billing Rates screen displays.
- Select the rates you want
to edit.
- From the Checked
Item Action list, select the edit you want to perform and click
Go.
Options include:
- Change
Category—This
option opens a new window from which you can select a new rate category
for the selected rates.
Select a new category for the rates and click Save.
- Set
Status to Inactive—This
option changes the status of the selected rates to Inactive.
Important: When you change a rate from active to inactive, the
rate can no longer be assigned to resource types, users, external resources,
resource requests, etc. Users already assigned to the rate need to be manually assigned another rate.
For example: An external resource is assigned the rate External Dev with a rate value is $50.00.
You change the status of that rate to Inactive.
The rate for the external resource becomes a manual rate with a value
of $50.00.
- Set
Status to Active—This
option changes the status of the selected rates to Active.
Note: The rates may disappear from your display, depending on
what rate status you are viewing.
