About Password Lockout

Administrators can set requirements for a number of aspects of a user's password.

The Password Lockout feature gives administrators the ability to specify that a user should be locked out of PPM after a certain number of failed login attempts.

Password Lockout

  1. Enable—Enables the Password Lockout feature and allows you to specify requirements.
  2. Number of Attempts—The number of failed login attempts a user can make before being locked out of PPM.
  3. Lockout Period—The number of minutes a user is locked out of the system.
    Note: If you set this value to Permanent, an administrator must reset the password once a user is locked out. See Resetting a User's Password for more information.
  4. Notifications—If selected, all administrators with the Users permission receive notifications as email and in PPM.
