Approving Task Imports from PPM

This step only occurs on the first synchronization.

If there are already tasks in your PPM workspace these tasks are selected by default for import to your Microsoft Project file.

Key facts to be aware of:

What this screen shows you

This screen lists all the tasks in your PPM workspace schedule and includes the WBS, name, % complete, start date and finish date for each task.

What you can do:

When you are finished, click the Next button to continue your synchronization.

Important: If you uncheck a task (choose not to import it), the task is permanently deleted in PPM. You cannot recover deleted PPM tasks. If you uncheck a PPM task that has actual work associated with it, a warning message displays. You have the option to delete the task but if you do so you will lose all associated work in PPM.

What this screen does not show you

This screen does not list any tasks in your Microsoft Project file. All tasks in Project will be automatically copied to your PPM workspace schedule. You do not have any option to change this. If you do not want Project tasks copied to PPM you must start with a blank Project file.
