About Pending Requests in Team Manager

In the Pending Resource Requests section of the Resource Allocations view resource managers can view requests for the resources they manage and allocate and approve or decline the requests.

Pending Resource Requests

The top section of the Team Manager Resource Allocations view displays pending requests for those resources the resource manager manages. Pending requests are the resource requests a resource manager has not yet acted on.

Requests can be for a resource type or for a specific resource:

Requests by type list the resource type being requested and a second line for the resource to be allocated. The total amount of hours (or FTE ) requested is listed on the resource line (Cartographer lines above).
Requests by individual list the resource type requested along with a pre-assigned line for the requested individual. The total number of requested hours (or FTE) are listed.

Note: The resource type line shows the total of hours (or FTE) for the request(s) sent to the current resource manager. This may not match the total resource requirement line as defined in the project-level Resource Allocation application.

Taking Action on a Pending Resource Request

You can take actions on pending requests:

Allocate Resources—Use the Actions icon next to a resource request to allocate resources to the request. See Allocating Resources in Team Manager.
Approve All Resources—Use the Actions icon next to a resource request to approve all allocated resources for the request. See Approving Allocations in Team Manager.
Decline a Request—Use the Actions icon next to a resource request to decline the request. See Declining Resource Requests in Team Manager.
Use the Delete icon next to the resource to remove a resource from the request.

To see the profile of the project for which the request has been made, click on the project name to open a Project Profile window. For details about the Project Profile window, see Project Request Profile Window Overview.

Filtering the data on the page

Show
The Show lists allow you to filter the display by project or resource type. The resource types available in the list are determined by the resource types your PPM administrator has defined.
Show by time
The Show by time list gives you the ability to switch the display between monthly and weekly increments.
Note: The Show by time filter changes the time increments for both the Pending Resource Requests section and the Resource Allocations section.
