ProjectTransit Commands from Microsoft Project

ProjectTransit is an intuitive wizard which can be activated from your Microsoft Project screen. After you install ProjectTransit, a new menu option is added to the Microsoft Project Toolbar: ProjectTransit. To use ProjectTransit, open the .mpp file you want to synchronize.

The ProjectTransit menu option includes the following commands:

Synchronize - This begins the wizard which will guide you through synchronizing your Microsoft Project schedule with your Changepoint PPM Project schedule.
View Program Log - This opens a log of actions performed by ProjectTransit. It can be helpful in identifying problems while synchronizing, and should be sent to Changepoint Support with your support request if you experience problems.
Help - This contains in-depth information on how to use ProjectTransit.
About ProjectTransit - This provides information about your ProjectTransit installation, including version number and release date.

Important: Before beginning synchronization, make sure your PPM schedule is not checked out. Once a Microsoft Project file is synchronized with a PPM schedule, the two remain associated until you actively break the link between them by ending the synchronization. You can break the synchronization in one of two ways:

In Changepoint PPM, in the Workspace Tasks application, click Override ProjectTransit Sync.
In ProjectTransit, on the Review Synchronization Status page of the synchronization wizard, click Break Sync.
