Viewing Workspaces in Capacity Planner

 

The upper section of Capacity Planner lists workspaces (and requests) in two groups:

Important: The workspaces displayed in the Unplanned and Planned lists are based on the current custom view. This means that there may be workspaces that are hidden in your current view. For more information, see About Capacity Planner Custom Views.

Each workspace is listed along with any resource type requirements. Clicking the plus ( ) expands the list of resource types that the workspace requires. Action icons next to the workspace name and each resource type give you options that include shifting requirements forward or back, toggling Net Availability, and editing the resource requirements.

The right side of the workspaces list displays requirement hours (or cost) in a time line that extends from the current month or week (depending on the scale chosen) out 2 years beyond the last month or week of the pending workspaces.
